Julian’s Auctions announced that they are hosting the upcoming auction event, Celebrating Bob Dylan: The Aronowitz Archive, T Bone Burnett, & More, at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on January 18. The auction will feature 60 total items for sale, including 50 artifacts from renowned journalist Al Aronowitz’s personal archive. Some of the items from Aronowitz’s collection include three typewritten drafts of the lyrics to “Mr. Tambourine Man,” an early Dylan oil painting from 1968, and a 1963 handbill from Dylan’s first major headline performance at Town Hall in New York City.

“The collection represents my father’s instinctive ability to identify and connect with greatness,” says Al’s son, Myles Aronowitz. Other priceless Dylan artifacts up for auction include signed handwritten lyrics for “Blowin’ in the Wind,” a 1983 Fender Telecaster made for and owned by Dylan, along with a one-of-a-kind Ionic Original recording of Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin” from a special session he did with Grammy-winning producer T Bone Burnett.
